Chalet Ribot is a catered ski chalet offering both catered ski accommodation and self catering ski accommodation, just below the high altitude resort of Alpe d’Huez. The Alpe d'Huez ski area on your Visalp ski pass includes the satellite villages of Vaujany, Villard-Reculas and Auris-en-Oisans making this one of the largest ski areas in Europe. Alpe d’Huez offers fantastic opportunities for beginners, intermediates and advanced skiers alike. High altitude and glacier skiing offers fantastic conditions even in the mildest of winters. Alpe d’Huez has recently invested further in its already impressive snow-making facilities. Thanks to the high altitude and these new facilities, Alpe d’Huez  is guaranteed to open for the first weekend in December, so you can benefit from early season deals on flights and accommodation.
The resort of Alpe d’Huez  has over 238 km of linked pistes and is home to the famous Pic Blanc. The Sarenne, the world's longest black ski piste is 16 km in length and departs from an incredibly high altitude of over 3,000 meters. This ski run then descends over 2200m in vertical drop (one hour of downhill skiing!) delivering you back to the Altiport. Alpe d’Huez is linked to the resorts of Vaujany, Villard-Reculas and Auris-en-Oisans, also known as Oz.
Alpe d'Huez also has 20 legendary off piste ski routes, one half pipe and a snow park, night time skiing ,night time sledging piste with chair lift and a fantastic choice of après ski bars and restaurants . In addition to this you also have free use of  Alpe d’Huez’s gymnasium, climbing wall, ice rink, toboggan runs and heated indoor and outdoor pools.
Resort characteristics: 37 green runs, 31 blue, 32 red and 17 black runs. Two special areas exclusively for beginners, one floodlit run, 50 km of cross-country ski trails, 30 km of hiking paths and one night sledge run.
